Our regular hours are Tuesday-Friday from 1-4 p.m. from March to December and year-round on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9-11 a.m. Our museum campus includes the main museum building which includes a genealogy and local history research center, as well as extensive exhibit space with an ever-changing set of displays and a children's room that is a hands-on space for kids to play with toys from the past and present. We also are home to an 1883 one-room schoolhouse and 1849 historic home.

Gift Shop
Take a look at our gift shop! We have books on local and regional history, material by local authors, postcards and holiday cards, and much more. Making these purchases at the NCHS helps support the museum and preserve your local history. If you cannot make it to the museum or live out of town but would like to make a purchase, check out our new online gift shop for an item list and prices. There will be an additional charge for shipping and handling.

About Us
Nodaway County, Missouri, is a rural area consisting of eighteen communities, a university, and a seminary. The Nodaway County Historical Society believes it is important to preserve the past in order to build the future. Since its reactivation in 1964, the Society has collected an array of artifacts related to the towns and the people comprising Nodaway County. Visit our museum and browse our site to learn more about the history, present, and future of our community.
